Veronika's only role is that of mother and wife, supporting her husbands ministry. Veronika will not be an employee nor have any official role in the church. Although Veronika is a wonderful, loving and spirit-filled women, the Elders have asked her not to teach or lead a small group for the remainder of 2020, in order to ensure that the family gets situated.
Andrew is a gifted teacher and we look forward to him leading a small group and teaching at BCC. However, the Elders have requested that Andrew not lead a small group or teach a class until they have had a period to settle their family. Additionally, we look forward to Andrew training small group leaders as we look to establish models of healthy disciple making.
Tom will remain as the Associate Pastor, available in the office for counseling and prayer, as well as preaching on occasion. Geoff will remain the Executive Pastor, overseeing the staff and daily operations of the church. Geoff will remain available for counseling and visitation as has been the case for many years. Geoff and Tom will work with Andrew to help him get successfully established in the church and community.
We are excited about Andrew, Veronika and the boys joining us as soon as possible. They have commitments that need to be completed in North Carolina before they are able to make the move. In no case will they be longer than 90 days. In the meantime, Andrew will be joining us on several Sundays to bring the word and lay the foundations of moving his family. We are working on a preaching schedule to ensure that we continue to have solid biblical teaching each Sunday until we can welcome Andrew and his family here full time.
Andrew is very much looking forward to the opportunity to meeting with and developing relationships with everyone. Andrew will have an office at the church and will maintain regular office hours. He will have a church email address and an extension on the church phone system.
