Youth Ministry

The mission of Youth Ministries is to assist parents in making disciples of Jesus Christ.  This is grounded in the mission of Jesus Christ, directed toward growth in Christian Discipleship, which is to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person; to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of Jesus Christ and then become witnesses to their faith through the lives they live and lead.

Youth Ministries serves Middle School and High School Students

  • Middle school trek

Middle School (6-8th grade) students are invited to participate in Trek on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:45.  Trek is a program designed to provide a time of fellowship, learning scripture, small groups and bible discussion. There is a curriculum with a devotional the students complete throughout the week, as well as a memory verse to memorize each week.

  • High School - ignite

Ignite Youth is our high school (9th-12th grade) ministry that focuses on pointing students to Jesus. In Luke 9:23, Jesus says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”  But what does that look like for a high school student in the 21st century with so many outside influences from both culture and society? We are glad you asked. The focus of Ignite is to engage students where they are at in their walk with Jesus and mentor them as they continue to grow spiritually. We meet on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm at the church.  The entire evening revolves around building relationships with other students and our leaders by playing sports and games, engaging in worship, studying the Bible, and discussing what was learned in a small group setting. Ignite is designed to set ablaze the next generation that loves Jesus, loves His Word, and is able to explain what they believe and why, so they too can go and make disciples.

  • Mentoring

We believe that we are called as a community to develop long lasting mentoring relationships.  The mentoring program aims to connect students with a Christian adult (approved by parents and the church) to meet with on a regular basis for spiritual encouragement and guidance.
