Kids

We love your kids. And we're here to help you lead them.

At Bethlehem Community Church in Delmar, NY, everything we do for children comes back to one conviction: the biblical call to disciple your kids falls first and foremost on you, the parent. Our job is to come alongside you in that. Not to replace you. Not to outsource your role. To partner with you so that your family is growing in faith at home, at church, and everywhere in between.
Your children will be safe, they will be taught the Word of God in an age-appropriate way, and they will be loved by people who take that responsibility seriously.

Nursery

Birth through Age 3

A safe, nurturing space for your littlest ones with trained caregivers who love what they do. Drop off with confidence and worship knowing your child is cared for.

Preschool

Age 3 through Kindergarten

Age-appropriate Bible teaching, songs, and activities designed to help your child begin to understand who God is and how much he loves them.

Elementary

1st through 5th Grade

Deeper Bible teaching, scripture memory, and Christ-centered community for kids who are ready to start owning their faith and asking their own questions.

Your Family's Sunday Morning

10:00 Am

Families worship together on purpose at BCC. Service starts at 10:00 AM, and your whole family joins in for prayer, praise, and worship. When it's time for the offering, children from birth through 5th grade are dismissed to their own Christ-centered teaching next door.

8:45 Am

Before that, Sunday Bible study runs from 8:45 to 9:45 AM with age-appropriate classes for every child. If you need childcare during the Bible study hour, just ask and we'll make it happen.

What your kids are learning

We use BRITE, a teaching platform from Awana that goes far beyond Sunday morning. BRITE includes daily, weekly, and monthly curriculum designed for the whole family, so the Bible teaching your child receives at church carries into your home throughout the week.
This is family discipleship in practice. Your child hears the Word on Sunday. You reinforce it at home. And together, your family grows rooted in the truth of scripture.

A Team You Can Trust

Every Leader Is Vetted

Every person who works with your children at BCC has been through an extensive vetting process, including a formal application, background check, and training. This is not optional and there are no exceptions.

Safe From the Door to the Classroom

A security team greets your family when you arrive. They walk your children to the children's area where trained leaders check them in using Subsplash check-in. Every child gets a sticker so we know exactly who belongs with whom, and the pickup process is just as secure.

Register Before You Visit

You can register your children ahead of time so everything is ready when you walk in. And if you'd like a tour of the children's area before you leave your child, just ask.

Flags for Geoff before publish:
  •  Garret Frueh's email address. Needed for the contact form routing.
  •  Children's registration form URL. Does this exist in Subsplash yet, or does it need to be built?
  •  Parents guide digital version. Currently print-only. Should a PDF or web version be created and linked from this page?
  •  Family Game Night. Geoff mentioned this as quarterly. Is it a standing event that should get its own card, or is it informal?
  •  Awana branding. BRITE is named. Should "from Awana" appear on the site, given that the full Awana program was paused during COVID and is being discussed for restart?
  •  Leader names/bios. The map asks for leader descriptions. Does Geoff want specific children's team leaders named on this page, or keep it role-based?
  •  Weekly BRITE blog post. The map mentions a weekly blog post tied to the curriculum. Is this being created? If so, the "What We Teach" section should link to it.
